Reporting to the Chief Product Development Officer, we are looking for a hands-on Security Architect for our SaaS platform and android application. You will be an expert in security operations, bringing deep security expertise and enterprise-level architectural skills to design and implement secure and efficient cloud platform and application. You will be well-versed in the latest security technologies and best practices, as well as experience in building security solutions for large-scale environments.

Work closely with product engineering teams to design solutions that are secure by default. Be a security subject matter expert and able to tailor answers to security questions from non-engineers and engineers, alike. Lead threat modeling discussions and help teams strike the right balance between security, user experience and product advancement.

We are seeking a Principal Security Architect to join our Security Platforms & Architecture Team and be responsible for the identification, assessment, prioritization, and reduction of systemic risks associated with the GitLab product and architecture. In this role, you would lead the development and execution of the security strategy, roadmap, and standards to address complex security challenges across the GitLab ecosystem. You would have a wide sphere of influence and responsibility and maximize your impact by working through and with others.

You will be responsible for implementing application security measures across various projects, with a focus on identifying and mitigating risks within our development lifecycle. You'll work closely with the entire Security & Privacy team. Our application environment is a hybrid of containers, managing most of our production microservices, and a public cloud-driven services layer based on popular open-source components.

The Senior Security Engineer primary role will be to lead application security architecture and design reviews working closely with development teams to help mitigate application security risks. As part of this effort, the engineer will also contribute to the internal penetration testing program, leveraging offensive security techniques to assess application security. Ideal candidates will demonstrate an offensive mindset with the ability to recommend practical mitigation strategies and solutions.

The Senior Security Consultant leads security engagements with a small team and advises clients on solving complex problems in the software security world. The Senior Security Consultant continuously learns, expands, and shares his/her technical competence. They are trusted advisors to clients by building relationships and delivering immaculate software security guidance and best practices.
